About Us
The Suncoast Chorus is a male a cappella chorus. Although specializing in the barbershop style of music, we have many music styles in our repertoire. Our chorus is under the direction of Tom Roan. Tom is a life long musician, who brings his extensive resume to the world of barbershop. Tom is constantly training under the auspices of the Barbershop Harmony Society, to advance the Florida Suncoast Chorus. We are thrilled to also benefit from the services of Dr. Clare McCreary. Clare's credentials qualify him as a Certified Barbershop Director.
Two chapters of the BHS, have joined forces to create a new larger chorus. This union of the former St. Pete and Palm Harbor choruses has revitalized interest in Pinellas County for barbershop music. Many men are still rediscovering the new exciting sound.
